Why Web Pages Got Deindexed from Google
Recently there was news that Google is working hard to fix a technical issue that resulted in de-indexing of web pages from search results. Let us go through the details here.

Many websites were affected by this deindexing problem but, John Mueller from Google incorrectly reported on 6th March that this issue was rectified.
To counter the statement made by John, Danny Sullivan tweeted on Sunday that this problem has mostly been fixed and very soon it will be fully resolved.
In his tweet Danny also mentioned that website owners do not have to do anything for resolving the issue and that it was a problem at their end only. However, if there are some high value pages on your website that you want to get reindexed as early as possible then you will have no option but to utilize the inspect url tool.
This tool can be used for instructing Google to recrawl a web page but, you need to keep note of the fact that the tool will be able to process a single url at one time and is not the ideal option when you have very large number of pages to re-index.
In his tweet Mueller added that even after this de-indexing issue gets resolved, it is not certain that all the urls on every site will get re-indexed. He also said that things will become normal as they were before, helping to relieve concerns website owners had about drop in their ranking because of this issue.
